We start our day with an introduction to our guide and driver. Once everyone is comfortable, we head off up the mountains towards the north of the Island.
Our first stop is for a photo stop of the stunning views of the Island and of neighbouring Kefalonia, on a clear day, you can see as far as Marathonisi (Turtle Island) and Keri. Our next stop is at the beautiful bay of St. Nicholas, here we get the chance to visit the Blue Caves in small boats, this is amazing, at the start of the day, the sea in the caves are at their bluest and our small boats go inside the caves, so you can get some lovely photos.
Afterwards, we have time for a refreshment stop, a lovely area to relax and take in the views and soak up some sunshine.
The next stop is at the viewing platform of the famous Shipwreck, here, we have time to take photos of the wreck from above. After we head off to Anafonitria for a change of pace, we visit the monastery, where the patron saint of the Island lived, the monastery is as it was then and is very peaceful.
Next stop, is time for a little wine and greek nibble tasting. A welcomed stop, where you also have the chance to purchase some local products.
After our busy morning, it is time for some lunch, we head off to Kampi, where you get to see the big cross on the hill and enjoy lunch in a stunning cliffside taverna, the views are absolutely stunning.
After lunch, we have a chance to see the oldest and most unusual olive tree in the little village of Exo Hora, we have time for photos and an exploration of the village. We then head off back to resort, so you can enjoy the rest of your day….
